Asheville Web Design & Hosting

Our Web Design Process

360 Asheville has a detailed process for web design to ensure you receive the website you expect through a smooth and worry free process. The process described below has been modified and takes affect on 1-1-2008.

Fact Finding

The first process of starting your website is our fact finding process where we can learn more about your business, likes, dislikes and competitors.

1. You submit your online estimate request form to provide us with the basic information about your site needs, likes and dislikes.

2. Once we have received your online estimate form we will provide you with a basic estimate based on the information provided to us. Once you have received our estimate and have determined that we can meet your needs and budget it will be time to arrange a phone consultation where we can gather any additional information and confirm the information submitted to us is accurate.

3. After we have completed our consultation process we will send a final proposal on your project to include any additions to the scope of the project that is discovered through the consultation, set due dates, total costs, payment structure, and site specification form outlining the final scope of the project.

4. After you have received your complete proposal and have taken the time to review the information it will be time to enter into an official agreement with 360 Asheville. If there needs to be any adjustments to your proposal this should be completed prior to entering into our agreement.

Entering into an agreement

Once you have accepted the terms of your proposal it will be time to enter into an agreement with 360 Asheville to begin the design process. At the time that the contract is entered you will be required to make the deposit as outlined in your agreed proposal.

Starting the Design

Once you have received your proposal, entered into an agreement for your project and made your deposit it is time to get started.

1. 360 Asheville we begin the design process immediately after your deposit is received.

2. Within 3-business days your designer will reveal 2 different web designs based on the information gathered during our fact finding mission and phone consultation.

3. Reviewing these 2 proposed design concepts will be the most crucial part of the process, we encourage you to take the time to look at these concepts and make detailed notes about your likes and dislikes with both concepts.

4. Once you have reviewed the 2 concepts created using the information you provided during the consultation phase we will request that you send us your feedback for both concepts in writing, normally via email.

5. Once we have received your feedback on the 2 concepts we can begin the process of taking your notes and turning them into a final design concept. Once that final concept is developed based on your feedback we will ask for your review.

6. Using this final concept as our starting point we allow 2 revisions to finalize the design, this is where your complete and honest feedback becomes extremely important to move forward on the project and avoid additional revision charges.

7. After we have reached a final revision and you are satisfied with the concept it will be time to make another payment on your project as outlined in your final proposal.

8. Once we have received your midterm payment it will be time to start adding the content of your website to the final concept. This includes the web text and any special images you want to include on your website. Because you know your business better than we do, it will be your responsibility to send us all the text content for your site. Content should be submitted to your designer in digital format and delivered via email as an attachment, preferably as a Microsoft Word Document. We ask that you never send us content emailed directly into the body of the email, we only accept attachments for web content.

9. 360 Asheville will construct one page at a time using the content submitted to us, you will be asked to approve each page before moving on to the next page. This will be your time to look at the formatting of the content you submitted and make all your final changes to the page text and text formatting. You will be allowed to request one revision to the content layout for each page before moving on to the next. We will not move on to the next webpage until we have final approval.

10. Finally, your website is completed and it is time to publish it to your web URL. Before we can deliver or publish your design you will need to make a final payment of all outstanding balances.

additional information

If at any time you need to change the scope of your project or request additional site revisions you will be required to sign a "Change Order Form" by 360 Asheville that will outline the changes being requested and any fees that may apply. Any additional fees that may apply will be due prior to the changes.

We take our quoted due dates on projects seriously. We understand that you will be working on telling people when your site will be ready for business and we aim to make that happen. To make this possible we ask that during your initial consultation you have a realistic idea as to when you can have all of the site content gathered and delivered to your designer.

Additional design concept revisions are charged at $125.00 per additional revision beyond the 2 revisions allowed.

Additional text revisions are charged at $65.00 per page, per revision beyond the one revision to text allowed. We encourage clients to check their content submission for spelling, grammar and accuracy prior to submitting it to their designer.
